TOPIC: Deciding to have the PMMA procedure!

The Doc took a look at the circ scar swelling this morning and he said it was dramatic but nothing to be worried about. He prescribed me some prednisone to take over the next 5 days so hopefully this swelling will subside quickly. Im going to stay in Tijuana and extra day just to take it easy and stay off my feet

Day three. This circusmsicion area is still full of fluid. Its huge. It does not seem to want to subside whatsoever. Its kind of stressing me out because i have ridges ive been trying to work on smoothing out but i cant tell if they are there because of the PMMA or because of the sheer weight of the fluid in my circ area. I really hope it starts to subside soon. Has anyone else experiened this major circ area sweeling? and how long did it last?

Should i be concerned about this? Is it just fluid retention?

It's pretty dramatic, but it appears to be just fluid. Can you email and SMS a photo to Wade or Dr C?

i just called and emailed Wade. I dont really know what there is that i can do at this point except just wait it out. Im so nervous about the whole thing. I havent seen anyone elses photos of the circ area looking this swollen.

I don't want to say anything as if it's a fact, just in case I give the wrong information. But it's clearly just fluid. I think you have absolutely nothing to worry about. Hopefully Wade will get back to you and ease your concerns.

As a vet of numerous PE procedures I understand exactly what you are going through. If something is happening to your penis that you haven't seem before, it can be very scary and your mind starts to run away on a path a negative thoughts. But you have to try and remain as rational as possible. At the end of the day it's not any kind of bad reaction, or it would be present on the shaft. It looks like fluid and I bet it feels like fluid. The skin in that area is much thinner than normal shaft skin, hence it stretches and fluid groups up there. It will absorb over the next week or two.

Yeah, I had very bad under glands circ sweeling after my last round. It persisted beyond all other bruising and swelling, and stayed basically into week two. I had a mini freakout because i thought it surely must be badly placed PMMA, but after a while it too subsided and everything was all good. I tried icing and continued wrapping, both which helped in the short term but most was just waiting. Its hard to fight the effect gravity is surely playing with the fluid build up.

@jimb. Thanks for the advice. Did your swelling look as bad as mine. This shit is ridiculous. Its just not going down at all and its very uncomfortable. I rode the train to LA today and i was uncomfortable the entire time.

No, I'd say half as severe as yours. I still think you have nothing to worry about, it may be larger yes, but not different in any other way. Very clearly appears just to be fluid.

I pumped quite often before I got PMMA, maybe my skin is more malleable, etc.

I just wanted to see how your doing bro. My swelling isn't as concentrated in one section of the ring, but my ring is looking like a mini doughnut for sure.

Wade was explaining to me. When massaging your junk, do so lightly. I told him yesterday at both my follow ups how concerned I was with that ring. He said stay off my feet and when laying Dow to elevate my legs as well. Then he gave me ibp 600mg.

It's late and I'm trying to remember everything. Just woke up to massage my shit. So yea he said dont massage that area if its sore because ill just create bruising and swelling. So I'm just going to leave it be, lightly massages the edge of the ring closest to my shaft.

Holy smokes! That looks like one serious cherry you've got there. I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure by the time you're reading this it has "chilled out"; if not, it will soon. Try like mudball says and ice it. If you can bare it, try Arnica. I think that is the main reason I never got massive swelling - I applied arnica gel about 10 times a day.

So its day five now and this swelling is still horrible. It hasnt gotten any worse but it hasnt really gotten any better. Im really stressed out about the whole thing and its making me very very depressed. I took the prednisone, ive been taking ibuprofen regularly and ive been staying off my feet. Yet nothing really seems to change. I dont know if im going to have to get this drained or what. Wade seems to think it will just come down in time, but the thing is that i have to go back to work and school soon and i dont know how im supposed to be on my feet for 12 hours a day when i have this water sack dangling between my legs.

Prednisone or Ibuprofen are unlikely to help in my opinion. It's fluid as opposed to swollen tissue. It might take a while, but don't get in drained and don't let it worry you. By now I think it's safe to say it really is nothing more than fluid. I walked around with a seroma for 3 months! You could try wrapping it.

But don't let this depress you. At some point you need to get a grip and accept it for it is. It's not a major complication or anything that is going to cause problems. It's nothing more than an inconvenience and you can't let yourself get down about something like this. Imagine what guys who have actual surgery go through.

I hope it doesn't sound harsh, but in my experience you need to toughen up and not be pussy about this. I apologize for saying that but it comes from a place of experience. I stressed out big time after a couple of my surgeries, but I got through it by looking at it rationally and not allowing negative thoughts, that had no substance, take control. The facts are you have some fluid retention and that's it. The only solution is to wait it out. It's an inconvenience but not a problem.

Sorry if I sound unsympathetic and I assure you I'm not, as I've been through it myself. But what I learned is that you simply can't allow yourself to be worried about things without a good reason, but often fear of the unknown allows us to do just that. You've never experience fluid retention and seeing it in your penis must be really frightening. But if you had experienced it or dealt with it before you'd realize what a small set back it is.

Don't get it drained, just let it do so naturally.
