Well after studying every thread on this site for 20 months I decided to take the plunge.
I backed out twice. This time I was ready though.
I headed out in the am for a long train ride to the border. I walked across and took a taxi to the offices. I went in and met Wade and Mel before checking in to a hotel.
I chose the TJ Grand because it is basically in the same building as Dr C's office. It is a nice place and makes eating out and relaxation easier.
After checking in I went to the office with my list of questions. I had asked many before, but Wade would say we will talk about them at the office. My main concern was I did not want an office mixed 20%. I was ready for an argument and was prepared to leave if I could not get the 30%.
Dr C stepped in the waiting room and sat next to me seemingly just
Hanging out. I asked if I could ask a few questions. Some were procedural and about aftercare. I saved the best for last.
I told him of my concerns with 20 and that from what I have seen on other people that 10% just did not produce the gains I desired. I waited for his explanation for how 20% is better etc. it did not happen. He said that they are now doing only 30 and 10. They prefer not to do the 20. He said that he noticed the same things I had.
I have been seeing on the progress reports what seemed to be a logical trend. The 10 had weak results. The 20 had a lot of lumping and clumping. The 30 seemed to have less of these issues although it was used quite a bit less because of concerns of lumps. I was thinking and heard others say also that the mixing of the 10 and 30 should be done in a lab not in a waiting room. I may be wrong but this is where I was coming from.
He suggested the 30. I chose to also to do the linea safe. Happy with our talk I proceeded to the procedure room.
He offered my an anti-anxiety pill. Although I was a bit nervous I declined. They proceeded to clean me up and shoot me full of lidocaine.
Mel almost handed him the metacril until I reminded them it was suppose to be linea. There was some scrambling and then Mel showed up with the product.
Good thing I did not take the anti-anxiety pill. I almost fell asleep a few times. It's an easy procedure. Dr C, Wade, and Mel make you feel comfortable.
17cc's of 30 and 3cc's of 10 later I am in my room watching movies and doing aftercare.
It's the day after the procedure. I am still here at the hotel. I will be heading back home after the checkout time.
I will do updates and take measurements after the swelling goes down-no point now.
