TOPIC: Pmma question

Does Dr. C use a disposable needle or cannula for injection or does he use a larger re-usable cannula ( one that is sterilized b/t uses). Anyone know? Thanks

Dr. Luis Casavantes like most responsible healthcare professionals use disposable micro cannulas. With the threat of HIV and Hep C, it would be too great of a risk to use re-usable cannulas. I'm not aware of any cannula that can endure the repeated stress of an autoclave machine.

It surprises me to see ANY medical professional using auto clavable instruments which penetrate any area of the body. You can auto clave all you like, but the fact is "crud" still accumulates inside of them.

Thanks. I guess I was thinking large bore cannulas like are used for liposuction. I have seen and used these before and they are autoclaved between uses. Just wondered what he used
