TOPIC: PMMA at Avanti Derma 6/28/22 (Photos Inside)

Hi, all. I've finally scheduled my first procedure at AD for the end of this month. Now that it's real, I'm feeling pretty nervous, but I've done all the research I possibly can and am trying to take comfort in that. In terms of preparation, there are a few things I've been wondering about, and if any of you have any thoughts you might like to share, I'd love to hear them!

1) I currently have an ADS by Zen Hanger that I've been using for a while. Is the one provided by AD of a similar design? Would you recommend bringing the ADS along for the trip?

2) Speaking of things I should bring, what's your opinion on collagen supplements? Anyone have any issues getting through airport security with those in your bag?

3) Any other advice you wish you had had before preparing for your first visit?

I'll be arriving the evening of the 28th, so we may just miss each other. This is your second round, right? What were your EG gains from round 1?

I've been really pleased with my results. Here's where I started and where I am now. My procedure was in April. I haven't noticed many significant changes since week 2. I hate that I'll miss you.

You gained a whole Inch in one round?

Based on my starting measurements and where I am now, I did. I was shocked my self when I measured. I haven’t really measured a bunch throughout my recovery. The difference was notable and I was satisfied so I didn’t feel the need to make sure my initial post (10 day) results were more or less the same.I wasn’t anticipating these results at all but I’ve been pleased with them.

Here’s a tip. Don’t wear light colored pants. I made that mistake and I wound up with very obvious blood stains.

To answer your questions. The extender from AD is just a noose Hanger. It's just a band attached to weighted ball. I didn't have any trouble with supps. The procedure is painless. The only thing you'll feel is the initial numbing which just felt like ant bites. Wear and bring loose fitting clothing. Last thing you want is to wear some daisy dukes and have your junk get all smashed. Keep it elongated as much as possible. I usually pop a Cialis before I go to help with blood flow. I will be arriving on the 28th with procedure the following day. Plan to stay till Friday. Had two rounds of Ellanse a few years ago and now want something permanent. Hope everything goes well.

Guys, thanks for all of the responses and advice! I'm kind of freaking out at the moment, but it is comforting knowing that there will be a few of you veterans there going through it at the same time. I'm not sure whether this kind of thing is frowned upon, but we ought to have a PB mini support group meetup in the hotel bar or something haha.

I've been wearing my Zen (noose-type) ADS for several hours per day over the last few weeks in preparation for the procedure, as I want to try to stay stretched as much as possible afterward. After a long session, I notice the area just behind the glans gets kind of compressed and the scar ring gets somewhat stretched out. It sort of seems as though that situation might prevent the product from filling in that area. Perhaps the noose on the stretcher that AD provides is thinner than the Zen and this won't actually be much of a problem. I guess we'll see.

Other than stretching, I've been taking lots of collagen (along with the usual vitamin regimen--C, D3, K, and zinc) and trying to limit caffeine intake and processed food. My diet is already quite clean, and I don't drink or smoke, so it's not much of a change for me. Again, for reference, my starting measurements are:

FL: 3-3.5
FG: 3.4
BPEL: 6
EG: 4.3

Lol if you see a tall guy sitting at the hotel bar with a country accent that'll be me. Most likely wearing some very loose fitting linen pants lol. The Hanger from avanti won't bother you. I took a bit of gauze and stuck it between the band and my skin after awhile so it wouldn't aggravate the skin to much.

I just wanted to give a quick update (I'm typing on a phone, so this won't be very lengthy). I'm done with the procedure, still wrapped up until my follow-up with Ian this afternoon, per his instructions. He and Dr. M both foresee some minor issues keeping the product in the ring area near the circ scar, as well as one area near the base. Neither the Adivan nor the lidocaine has worn off yet, so I know things will be much less comfortable before too long. Overall, the experience was easier than I expected. The lidocaine shot is the worst part (so far). Also, walking through the hordes of people in this extremely busy complex while suspecting that they all know exactly what you just did is a little discomfitting haha.
