I know a good deal about how asbestos causes cancer, and it is true that being an irritant is a catalyst towards a cancer process. The fact is though, the cancer rate among people who have been exposed to asbestos is approximately .002 percent. However, in the lungs, developing swelling and inflammatory changes is a big deal, as lung capacity is diminished, which is a bad thing for obvious reasons. Hmm I notice that if I masturbate a lot in a day (3 or 4 times... don't judge) I swell a good 0.25" thicker as well. By my 4th time you would think the penis would be tired and not very "full" so you would think it would be weaker and thinner... but the opposite happens and I actually get thicker. I think the PMMA is injected into the dartos, so Musky's idea doesn't sound right to me. As long as the dartos tissue is still there, then the penis should move up and down smoothly.

I think the swelling is far more likely to come from the PMMA tissue acting a bit like a clamp. When I have clamped or used a Cock, ring, even lightly, I'm often left with swelling. Sometimes even after just wearing a condom it happens to me. So if the PMMA tissue isn't as naturally expandable as the real penis, then it makes sense that it could cause swelling in a similar way.

I think the asbestos analogy isn't very good. Sure there is the potential for chronic inflammation & fibrous tissue, but it probably stops right there. PMMA isn't a known human carcinogen like Asbestos is, and furthermore, the biggest problem (outside of cancer) with asbestos is that you breathe it, which ultimately affects your lungs and your ability to breathe normally (over time). Let's be clearer with our analogies, and more sensitive too.

This is where the analogy falls apart completely. There is no proof of this other than mere speculation derived from a carcinogen's affects on a completely different organ.

The only complication from inflammation that I'm aware of in the penis would be FBGs... which presently hasn't been theorized or demonstrated to affect penile function.

The PMMA does not stick to the skin or the blood vessels that fill when you get Erect. It moves, a little bit, inside the penis. Precisely. There are probably even more analogies we could drop up for the PMMA mechanism, but not all of them are entirely accurate and/or sensitive.
