I don't think it would make any difference. I think the botox simply freezes tha Dartos fascia which prevents Turtling. I don't think Turtling and post surgical retraction are the same thing. Mikehok is the guy to ask, but I think he told me that Turtling is due to the changes in the Dartos fascia due to weather or adrenalin levels etc. Even if your penis wasn't turtled, it will still retract i after trauma like surgery. Basically I think, in this study, the term "retraction" is used instead of what we would call Turtling.

That is a great news about using botox injection to treat Turtling (retraction), but I was thinking it will be much better if Dr. C. would use the botox injection 3 days or more before injecting the PMMA (so that our penises will not turtle during the most important period "the 1st 48hrs") But I know it will be difficult for us to visit Dr. C. twice e.g. within a week ???

BTW they used a big amount of botox 2 insulin syringes (i.e. 2 cc's) each syringe filled with 100 IU.

THat doctor in Brazil who also does PMMA enhancements also injects Botox for this purpose. How much more was the cost for this botox injection? Let us know if you find it is worth it.

@medilook - Wouldn't an implant be the only thing that would prevent retraction? I am not aware of any surgical techniques that would prevent retraction. If you have come across anything different, please share. I personally wouldn't consider the implant option as a viable way of getting around the retraction problem though. I will be going in for PMMA on Jan. 7th. I will ask Wade about the Botox option.

I think it will be a great idea if someone could show Dr. C. that paper and to know his opinion about it.
I dont think botox will affect EQ and sure it won't cause any loss of sensation.
As it is mentioned above:-
1- It will reduce Turtling in 70% of the cases , so it could help guys who are Grower.
2- In regard of post-penile PMMA, in theory it can help but you need to have the botox injection few days before PMMA injection (because botox will start to work after 3-5 days and to see the best result is after a week).

what if you just got surgery to prevent the penis from going into the fat pad?
The injections are nice, but it's not permanent though right? There are surgeries to prevent penis from retracting into the body which I'm considering getting.

to be honest smartman, i think he said 100 on the insulin needle but he used 2 needles, it all happened so fast i wasnt paying attention as much as i was wondering whether or not i would be regretting it lol.... so far no problemo

I just brought this idea up with Wade and he seemed really interested, he was the first to note however it taking up to 5 days to see any results.

I agree with you hoddle :- Botox will help only guys who complain of penile Turtling it will just paralyze Dartos muscle , and not retraction post-penile lengthening surgery due to scar formation.
I think it will help guys who are a Grower and may be it could help in penile PMMA bioplasty by preventing Turtling.

But will this effect EQ in any way? OR does it have any side effects? such as loss of sensation or?
