TOPIC: Lengthening with Gary Alter?

To any party interested:

In my opinion, Dr. Gary Alter is one of the best surgeons performing Ligamentolysis. Incising the fundiform and suspensory ligmanents will facilitate acquired length through post operative stretching. Gains are modest at best. Most will gain around a half Inch with dedicated stretching. Some may gain slightly over an Inch. Be prepared to spend countless hours stretching. It is cumbersome and many are not dedicated or lose hope due to the small increase in size. USE A RULER TO TRACK PROGRESS! For some, it is worth it. The dissatisfaction rate on penile lengthening by Ligamentolysis is over 85% and that includes those that only sought the procedure for Flaccid gains (which are generally much greater).

@KFH If I were you, I'd skip out on the manual stretching and proceed with having your ligs cut. This will make any possible gains that much easier to achieve. I highly recommend Alter. He's very competent and has excellent credentials and a near flawless track record.

@KFH I think you'll be fine. Dr. Viel is a good choice.

Thanks for the advice guys, it's much appreciated. Unfortunately I live in the UK so my options appear to be Dr.Viel or Dr.Ralph for lig cutting, unless Alter has business trips to Blighty!

I'd love to get in contact with people who've had it done, but there seems to be very few people who have had it done on this site, infact messageman is the only person I know of and he had it done in the mid 90's so the efficiency of the procedure could've improved.

I understand that the results boasted on Thundersplace are anecdotal but I guess it couldn't hurt to try (or could it?!). I'll try to keep meticulous records on both manual stretching and if I go down the lig cutting route I will definitely write a full report of my experience and results.

Could you by any chance link to the other thread HC?

I think I will wait until razor101 updates us on his procedure until I consider them.
They do state that some of their patients have reported a maximum of 5cm (2 inches) after compulsory use of an extender (after three to six months). It doesn't say if that is an erect or flaccid increase though.

He is also fairly honest for a guy who sells operations and I remember I went to see him over ten years ago and he told me my penis was already very long (it was only about 6.5 fully stretched Flaccid and 4.5 non stretched so he was generous) but nevertheless he basically talked me out of a procedure. He said he could do it and that he could see why as I am very tall but no pressure at all and I actually got a confidence boost!

Thank you for the link ttar. Lengthening is my main focus at the moment and lig cutting + weights and or stretching is an option I'm becoming more interested in.

It's hard to believe who to trust though. When I first looked into lengthening, I viewed UGRS's description of their lengthening procedure and they clearly stated that there was an average of 1 to 3 inches of length gained. They said that the patient may need the use of a stretcher to accomplish these gains. The last time I checked their website they had removed the "1 to 3 inches in length gained" and replaced it with before and after photos clearly stating that length gains vary for each patient. That's abit of an odd move in my opinion. Especially when they used to say they do not do before and after pictures because of how misleading they can be and if I remember correctly that it was against the law to use them in the EU.

Oddly enough the more I've researched on this, the more vague the answers are on possible length increase and have decreased the further I've researched yet the part that wants me to go through with this seems to be getting stronger.

When I first looked into lengthening, I was told that 1-3 inches was the normal result through lig cutting. Then it became 1.5inches, then it became 1 Inch if you stretch post op and then more recently I was told half an Inch if you stretch religiously post op. I'm referring to Erect gains by the way. Apparently 1 - 1.5 Inch of Flaccid length is pretty much certain for many patients and that gain is immediate.

All in all it's hard who to believe. A fellow poster (messageman) on this board claimed to gain 1-1.25 (can't really remember exactly) of Erect length after he religiously stretched post op lig cut.

My plan of attack is to do some manual stretching for a couple of months which many people on thundersplace say give significant increase (around 0.25 to 0.75 after a couple of months) for newbies. After that I'll decide where to go next, whether to carry on stretching, get a lig cut and stretch religiously or just stop altogether.

Ohhh and to answer your question I've heard Alters name thrown about here but I do not know of his merits or procedures, sorry I went abit off course!

Do you by any chance know how much Dr.Viel charges for penile lengthening miracle7? I've been recommended to get in contact with Dr. David Ralph, so I've sent him an e-mail an hour ago. He charges '2500 ($4060).

My 5 pence worth Viel is a very good and caring surgeon.

I agree everything I have ever read about PE Gary Alters name is one of the only names with no mud on! He is very conservative!

I wish I did KFH. I have heard good things from his Ligamentolysis and FFT patients though as well as from physicians that are friends of mine. He seems very competent and caring.

If you're in Europe there is also the Kalingrad option discussed in another thread on lengthening. They ask a flat sum including several days of lodging and care,, the operation including ligament cut from the scrotum, scrotal webbing reduction and pelvic liposuction. It is unbeatable pricing if you need all three procedures, but one must first seriously check out their references and we need to know a lot more before endorsing this clinic. It will however be one of my main leads to investigate during the coming year.

@KFH My sense is that you might want to try the stretching routines found at Thundersplace first before resorting to surgical intervention. Several people have gained Erect length just by stretching and Jelqing, including Skeptical One, the administrator here, who gained I think half an Inch, as well as I believe a member called new1inch (he posted a report of his stretching routine on this site). If you don't gain then maybe you could have the surgery (though I'm not aware of its efficacy on a large scale level) and then stretch. That's just my two cents, though, and good luck.

Thanks for the replies - all very helpful. For some reason I also found it encouraging that Dr. Alter performs sex changes (NOT because I'm thinking of one... ), but because that seems to be a fairly well regulated and studied area. Basically it seems to contrast him against people like Elist, who seem to only be in on the PE racket.

Does anyone know what the general post-op stretching regimen looks like? I tried an ADS in 2009 but could only maintain 3 months of 8 hours per day. Is it basically the same thing post-op, or are the hours less?

@miracle, good point about the 85% dissatisfaction rate! I think a lot of this may be from unrealistic expectations. I'm currently about 6 EL, and I understand the realistic outcomes of this surgery. If I could gain 1 Inch FL and 0.5 Inch EL, I would already be satisfied. Anything more would be gravy!
