If you’re doing heavy manual PE it theoretically helps “cement gains.” I used to wear one before getting PMMA. They’re kind of a hassle and can get uncomfortable if wearing for too long, especially when the weather is warm. If you really want to give the appearance of a bigger bulge they’re rather effective. They also help to stop retraction.
