TOPIC: My PMMA venture -- good, bad and the ugly

Hi Everyone

It's been a while since I updated my progress.

Good news is that my penis is pretty much back to what it was pre PMM surgery... I had a unexpected bleed after I got the PMMA removed, and it caused some scar tissue to form... I've had 3 Kenalog shots, which really helped.


I had sex with my ex GF twice tonight, and it was quite enjoyable...

In hindesight .... I probably would have tried to go back to Dr C for help to look at it and work on it instead of jumping into Removal (once again the great Hoodle is right)

Anyways, life continues... my PE adventures are now over...

Hey guys!

So it's been quite a while... I wanted to provide some updates.

1. After the deglove it took at least 6 months to get my length back. I had a bunch of scar tissue because I had a bleed after the drain was removed, so I had more scar tissue than normal.

2. I've had 3 injections of Kenelog to help remove the scar tissue, it worked well.

3. I have some either resisdual PMMA or scar tissue at the base... when I have sex with a tight tight firl, it has actually cause the skin to break and create a sore... but that hasn't happened in 2 months... so maybe its better.

4. I can masturbate and enjoy masturbating as much as I did before PMMA

5. My AFIB only got worse after I had the de-glove... so I went and got Cathedar ablation ... and now im completely curred of AFIB ... what an amazing procedure.

6. I still get some tingling feeling once in a while in my urethral ... but nothing like before

Some thoughts about what I went through a year ago, and my thinking now:

I had a few medical issues hit me at once... I had a massively painful stomach infection... this pain caused me to have chest pain, and my brain went crazy ... I thought it was PMMA related...

I had lumps like you see other people have... actually just 1 big one.. However, for some reason my lump was much more painful than what other people experienced...

The penis pain level was going down as my stomach pain was going down...

But I went and got the PMMA out anyway... probably should have waited to see if it went down on its own.

And if I was going to get it out, I probably should have seen Dr. C directly instead of a Urologist who just wanted to yank it out.

So -- that's my advice to you guys... got a similar situation to me? ... go see Dr C first

Hey buddy, thanks for the update and I'm glad things are better for you now.

Where about did your Dr inject the Kenalog? I've still got some scar tissue following FFT Removal (basically the same procedure you had, but removing different material) and have thought about requesting Kenalog.

Did you gain any Girth?

The injections where at the base where the scar tissue accumulated.

I gained a tiny bit of Girth... nothing like what I got from PMMA though.

Since my last report, I've had sex a few times and it's perfectly fine...

Seeing CLH's report about him going back to PMMA has me thinking

I wonder if it would be possible for me to get it again given that I had some tissue removed...

Hi Dark, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this thread as I find the info from people that have had problems much more informative then just positive posts and pics of procedures that went well. Although they are also useful to me, I want to be really prepared for any negative outcomes and know how to handle them.

My question is, you mentioned in hindsight you would have first went to Dr C before having it all removed? And yet you did mention the Dr that removed it said it needed to come out and that it had smelled like kitty litter? Is this not concerning?

To the other members: Is this not a sign of some type of rejection or infection or some other very serious side effect that would need to be removed? If I had a lump that was painful and felt needed to be removed, my first plan of approach I had decided was to go see Dr C. But if the entire mass smelled of kitty litter isn't that a sign it all needed to be removed and he made the right call? Should we be concerned if we start having complications like this that not taking action sooner and trying to ride it out for an extended period of time to see if it disappears could potentially be further damaging and cause addition health risks? Has anyone else had this removed and had the same findings?

I am not that concerned with a lump developing on my penis, I am married, my wife knows I am considering this procedure, and a localized Removal does not cause me a lot of unwanted worry. However, the idea of something that smells of kitty litter festering inside my penis that could cause additional problems if not immediately addressed does cause me some concern.

I never smelled the kitty litter ... the doctor who removed it did.

The bump was painful ... I also had pain around the base of my penis that got better over time.

The Removal probably didn't need to happen... in hindesight... I would have gone to see Dr C first.

The thing that I did prove was you could have PMMA completely removed and you will be fine.

I have an amazing sex life .. and just got engaged to a very attractive lady.

And she tells me I'm too big! ... so it worked out in the long run...

Hey Guys

I met with Dr Singh on Monday.

First thing he told me was that the PMMA that he got out of my Penis "really had to go" ... he then said "It smelt like kitty litter" ... and then went on to say that he thinks he got 100% of it...

He then went on to say he removed my Dartos layer as well as the Tunica albuginea --- at least that is what I think he said.

He also said that the length issue was just healing, and to pull it hard after urinating for about 15 seconds...

I didn't know he was going to remove the membranes / layers when he started the procedure... oh well.

I hope I retain some size... right now its a 2 Inch stumpy thing.

If Darkstaff is still around could you please provide additional clarification on this point, it's an important piece of information if Removal is ever required and you are the only one on the board I know of who has had it done.

If there is any way to contact doctor and find out the extent of tissue Removal for certain that should be posted.

Also how are you healing, is everything functioning well. I hope all is good.
