I told him about the PMMA... and after the procedure, he told me that I had PMMA in my lymph nodes that he extracted. I have perm. Statistically that means about 25 of us will suffer from prostate cancer at some point. Every single one of those 25 will wonder if it was to do with PE procedure they had. Hey everyone — hard to believe it’s been almost seven years since I last posted. Just to clear it up first: I do not believe my prostate cancer was caused by PMMA directly. Back when I got sick, I completely freaked out. My body went into overdrive — I developed AFIB out of nowhere and started bouncing between doctors, getting two or three CT scans with contrast all in the same year. Maybe that contributed, maybe not. I’ll never know for sure. I remember on the old PhalloBoards 2.0, I got a few private messages from guys who had PMMA and were also having problems. One told me he’d asked Dr. Singh about a de-glove procedure, but apparently Dr. Singh doesn’t handle PMMA Removal anymore. As for me, the only PMMA I can still feel is at the base of my penis — it’s stable and hasn’t changed in years. I can get to about 40% of my previous Erection with Cialis, but it’s not what it used to be. My prostate cancer is currently under control. Looking back, I think it was more about lifestyle than anything else. But honestly, the mental stress and fear I went through weren’t worth it. A few others who reached out described similar symptoms — burning at the base, pain, anxiety — and it really takes a toll. Would I do PMMA again? No. Absolutely not.
