TOPIC: Just had a pretty nightmarish situation re: dick size

Oof. How did I miss this thread originally?! Hunkydory, I hope it wasn't me you were talking to on grindr at the gym! . (EQ midtown...?). Anyhow, um, where to start. First of all, Restoration, you don't have a small Dick. Like, 5.75 x 4.5ish might be 40-45th percentile, but that's not small. It's pretty friggin average, and some absurdly high percentage of the population will be within a half an Inch in both dimensions. Second, I'm not sure bottoms or tops are worse--it's an interesting question. I want to get PMMA because I'd like to feel sex a bit more when I top, and I'd also just like to be a bit bigger visually so that my partners are more impressed, because that's a fun feeling. Emotionally and aesthetically, I prefer the idea of topping (I have a thing for guys in their 20s--I'm a white-collar professional in my early thirties, and I'm also quite tall) but it's rare the guy who is tight enough to make me *really* enjoy it when i'm wearing a condom. And then I also psych myself out because I think they aren't enjoying it, and then it's all downhill from there . . . not enough Cialis in the world. But it's all in my head too. Like, I bottom a lot. And I've been with big, medium, and small. And by medium I mean sizes very similar to yours and all the other average blokes in this world. And the mediums are often great! Sometimes even awesome. And the big ones sometimes hurt and somehow screw it up (although are also sometimes quite awesome). Sadly, there's no doubt that our culture (gay culture) isn't helpful. If I had a dollar for every time a guy on grindr stopped talking to me after I told him I had an average sized Dick...I wonder if it's because size inflation is so rampant that people assume someone self reporting as 6.5 must really have something significantly smaller. But we're all just a little bit crazy. So, at the end of the day, I encourage you to pursue your PE goals, and god I'm sorry about the peyronies. But it sounds like things are getting better. Jlmb, there are few things I enjoy more than a little romp at the sauna in Seoul near the American base--everyone is so affirming. Are you and Bruno the only gay/bi guys we have on here who have pulled the trigger? This may be a bit sexist of me, but I can't help wondering if gay guys would be able to sense PMMA easier than women, just through more extensive experience. Is my speculation totally off base?

Yeah the gym is a dangerous place for grindr (or a good place if things go well). That's insane you sent a pic to your neighbor! Aw man - that's terrible. Yeah, guys in the 20s arent' for me... i typically have gone out with 30+ ... it's a very big gap. I mean, when I was in college, we just started getting the internet... that really changed the world & way people behave. People who have grown up with IMs and chat and grindr as their first gay social experience are just a bit messed up. It's kinda sad actually. It's funny, I always thought 4.5 Girth was basically fine...and that was my old size before PD. I did think it was on the thin side, but I didn't think I could really do anything about it so I tried not to think about it. When more internet porn became accessible to everyone, I started to get a little more insecure. And hooking up, I never got that insecure about the Girth thing cuz guys weren't usually longer than me & if they were thicker, I was usually longer. So, I won 1 way or another. But, with women - it's a whole different thing & I know they need more Girth, etc... Aside from sex, 5" does look a lot better than 4.5 - even in that small increase makes a big difference visually I think. Anyway, It seems like a lot of guys here with 4.5 were a lot happier after PMMA. The chart that is out there in the threads doesn't even show anyone under 4.5 I don't think. I'll be the first...lol (4" at the top though it doesn't look that way in the photo really...how many trips to TJ will turn that into 5"?).

Thanks jlmb - I read your thread & it was really impressive...your gains are incredible. The one thing I was confused about...it says you started at 4.5 EG (the bold on the first page of the log)? And then you were 5.7 EG after the first session - or did I miss something? How have things held up since you started?

How have guys treated u differently? I'm extremely curious about this. Very few people get to be on both sides. Why don't you like Dick pics? If I had your Dick, I would walk around handing out photos...till I got arrested.

Yeah that's an interesting observation hoddle. You're right I think. It's exhausting to in the kind of culture where an Inch is more important than about 10 other factors (even looks, education, income, etc) - for gay guys at least. Not all - but most.

Thanks Mustang - yeah I think this may be a bit exaggerated...and PMMA is not that much further away so all of this crap will eventually be a thing of the past...I think on the 5th anniversay of my Peyronie's diagnosis, I will have the Dick I started with - maybe even plus some Girth. As far as seeing a lot of dicks goes, my friend actually made a spreadsheet of everyone he hooked up with since 1996. It's kind of amazing & hilarious. He originally did it bc he was scared of STDs and so he wanted to keep a list of who he hooked up with & when he was tested. Now, it's just become this crazy ass thing that he still keeps updated to this day. At some point, he started estimating Dick size in the xls, which isn't that accurate - but he says he bases it on his own. So, the average (of 244 guys) is 6.2 x 5.2. Some of the guys he's hooked up w/ online bc they had a big Dick, so the numbers might be skewed up. He also rated attraction and quality x Dick size - and there's 0 correlation between the two. Well, it's 0.11 but it's not significant. I actually think 6 x 5 is pretty much what the average is +/- 0.5"...so I'm not too surprised by this...but admittedly measuring w/ the eyes isn't that accurate.

I cannot WAIT for PMMA. All my post-op swelling is gone and I am 4" EG at the top and 4.25 at the base....jeez it's ridiculous. Yeah, grindr crap can be pretty ridiculous. I don't don't like guys who are overly emphasized on Dick size, so if their second question is 'Hung?' I always answer I'm alright or above average. I don't like dic pics anymore, if I'm just looking to top I don't care and the surprise is sorta hot.

It's not gay guys that are obsessed with penis size, it's guys in general. It's just with gay men the obsession manifests into a sexual desire. Most of the guys on this forum tend to be hetro, yet it's clear even among us having a big Dick is seen as a trophy or sign of alpha masculinity. Straight men worship big Cock as much as gays. It's just we worship our own. The fact that penis size seems so much more important to straight men than women and that we find it almost impossible to believe they don't want as big as possible, shows that we have the same predisposition with penis size as gay men do.

To start, sorry to hear this. I am a straight male interested in PMMA. I've had plenty of one-night stands and one relationship for 6 months that she elected to end. These reoccurring comments throughout my life have devastated my confidence. I'm 4.5 MG, 5BG, 6.2L with small glans. I'm sure the other women have refrained from expressing their thoughts. I refuse to accept the reality that I am below average, and that there is no safe way to resolve the inadequacy. I'm not in pursuit of perfection; my only desire is to be average! The reality of simple physics along with a seemingly general consensus is often hard for me to accept. I cannot imagine how I would feel if I were to hear those comments "unfiltered" as you experienced. Haha - I never use grindr at the gym. I never really use it much anymore - I just went through a horny phase when my incision was healed and I finally had a straight penis after 4 years.

Yeah I initially noted that I was 4.5" but I think it was closer to 4.75", initially gained a solid Inch after round 1, then it sorta decreased a bit. I'm six months after round three now and am at ~6.35" to 6.5-75" with Cock ring (almost ever sex time).
