I've tried this method twice, with limited success. I've improved a small Nodule I have, but it's largely still there. I actually went deep and felt like I'd taken away as much tissue as I possibly could both times and it still came back. Though Danceswithdragons had success with this method. For me part of the problem is that it's so hard to see what you are doing as there is so much blood. So an alternative option that I'm thinking of trying, which I think should be better, is to treat it as if it were a mole or skin tag. Take some vaseline and carefully spread it around the Nodule, but not on the Nodule (or skin just above it.) Then take some clear surgical tape and cut a piece about twice the size of the area covered in vaseline. Cut a hole if the tape the size of the Nodule and then place the tape over the area, obviously with the Nodule area where you've cut the hole. So the Nodule are shouldn't be covered, but the skin around it should be protected by a layer of vaseline and a layer of surgical tape. Then take a 30g needle and pierce the surface just above the Nodule. A little blood will come out. Then take a little cotton wool and dip it into some ACV, place it over the Nodule and secure it with some tape. Apply new cotton wool dipped in ACV every hour or so for about 5 days. After a few days the skin above the Nodule will turn a golden color and eventually it will turn black. It will be like you've burned a tiny hole in the skin. Then just leave it and eventually it will fall off like a scab and take the tissue underneath with it. You'll be left with a surprisingly deep hole that has yellow gunk in it and you'll panic. Just keep it clean and stuff it with some alginate dressing. Clean it and change the dressing at least twice per day. After about a week it will heal and you'll just be left with red skin. After a couple of months any scarring or redness will have gone. I can't promise if the Nodule will definitely be taken care of, but I think it's probably a better method than using a large needle and tweezers or cauterizing it (which Dr C has done for me twice without success.) It's fiddly and a lot of hassle, but it should allow you to penetrate more deeply than the other methods. I had a problem after my first procedure with Dr Maercks last summer..I had a significant curvature to the right -my local Urologist thought it was scar scar tissue causing it..in any event Dr M tried to improve with 2cc of Restylane ..which did help......but then lump on right side..in any event thats why I went to Dr Ibrahim I got the PRP and more fat/stem cell ..he thought PRP might help if it was due to scar tissue..have you heard of PRP helping? My next course of action is to go to a local Dermatologist for injections of Triamcinolone A10 mixed with 5 Flurouracil directly into the scar tissue to try completely get rid of it. It was Dr Oates who advised me to use this formula. Thanks for the information Dr Oates, that's useful. One of the side effects of using dmso for 4 months straight over the entire shaft is that the skin has thinned but I'm hoping it will return to normal at some point. It's been there since about 2 weeks post op though because even when I could not see or feel it I could not massage or move the product around properly in the area where the hard tissue is located. The thing that's making me think its scar tissue is that it's really hard, it's has the texture of a fingernail, in comparison to the rest of the product that's as soft as porridge. Also it's completely immovable it feels as though it has ingrown into the surrounding tissue, compared with the rest of the product which freely moves around. Also it has crossed my mind that it will go in time like yours did, I'm in no rush to get it sorted really, I'm playing the waiting game right now Thanks for the advice Hi Resto, It's really difficult to determine what the cause of it is, It has been there very early so could be something to do with the injection although this is highly unlikely because there was barely a mark on me even 5 minutes after injection and there was no discolouration whatsoever. During the first 6 months the product was as hard as sand and there was so much product inside that freely moved around think about how bad this must have been for me internally. I could quite easily have caused scar tissue. Someone has mentioned to me that it could be product clumped up which is possible but just from the feel of it I get the impression that it's something more. What is the underlying cause? That will affect the treatment option, but it's tough to deal with scar tissue as a general rule. I can tell you that Xiaflex is not a good idea. A minuscule amount can burn through collagen like acid (really depends on how thick the scar is though)...and it's $3000 for that 1 minuscule amount (1 treatment - for Peyronie's Disease). It can actually cause a lot of damage and create more scar tissue if it gets out of the central core of the scar where it is injected. Interesting that Dr C didn't get it. So let me make sure I understand--from the description what kind of "Nodule" does this sound like, what does it consist of (it feels rubbery), and what causes it? My Nodule feels hard and whilst not a perfect sphere by any means, like a little ball, maybe like half a grain of rice. I think they happen as a result of filler dripping out the end of the cannula after the injector has finished in the area. So a little drop of filler ends up on it's own, though still attached to the rest. That's probably not the most coherent or accurate description, but it's hard to make sense of these things! The principle behind all the grafts is that they have to have a proper blood supply or they harden as did mine. If that is the issue, I am not sure if what you have is blood supply dependent, the scarring may be a toughing of the graft due to lack of proper blood supply. My graft toughened and contracted at the same time. Alloderm and Belladerm grafts do the same thing. If that is the case it is a little different than scar tissue but a hardening of the material that they injected. I know very little about that product so don't want to give too much (bad) advice, but I'd do research on whether it needs blood to grow that tissue into something that is more organic. If anyone would like to chip in and share their experiences I'd really appreciate it. Hi Reklaw, Kenalog is another steroid. If it is injected too superficially i.e. into the skin itself it can thin the skin, although that can Repair itself over time. It has been disappointing for PMMA. It can improve but because there are lots or little plastic Balls in there that are not going away there is a limit to the benefit. Maybe not the same issue with Cymetra. I think they happen as a result of filler dripping out the end of the cannula after the injector has finished in the area. So a little drop of filler ends up on it's own, though still attached to the rest. That's probably not the most coherent or accurate description, but it's hard to make sense of these things! I really think I have 2 small areas where scar tissue formed during the inflammation process, not "nodules". They are rubbery, not hard, and I seriously think they are integrated into the surrounding tissue, nothing that I could cut out as described. I have read that hypertrophic scaring can happen from dermal fillers at 2-6 weeks, and these became evident around 2-3 weeks. The dmso might have very slightly softened it ... but I've only used it a little over a week, 1-2 times a day. I'm going to try 3 times a day for at least another month. I've increased it to 90 percent as I had no irritation yet.
