I agree that Dr. Oates is a prolific poster of genuinely helpful and insightful content. My only gripe is his lack of pics and videos. It's perfectly understandable patients not wanting to have there procedures published online, however, it is absurdly easy to simply crop both pictures and video in a manner that simply focuses on the procedure, and not the person. The matter of privacy becomes moot. There are countless doctors who do this. After all, this is the information age! For Pete's sake, it's 2016, and videos of procedures are the norm. If you're going to claim to have a superior technique, there should be no reason why you can't publish it, as to benefit and advance the entire industry. Here's an example of a doctor that has a very specific technique, which he shares for all to see, and benefit from:

I had 5 coolsculpting treatments to treat fat on my chest, to very little effect. Zero fat reduction. I did hear is not as effective on the chest but you at least would think that there would be some fat loss.

Chester, thanks for this report. I have yet to see someone who has done it to report anything positive about it. I was considering it because of the "no downtime" but am now sceptical. Thanks again ...

Im  interested in hearing about the "horror stories" caused by this product. So you know what you can expect as a worst case scenario.

the best way to explain kybella is to show u the website, i myself have had it twice. it's indication is for the fat pad under the chin but off lable use is how practitioners make more money, just like like botox's indication was for the glabella but of course we stick it all over the face.

There are so many horror stories about it on the web. I'd prefer to take my cue from this board. So far, Dr Oates says it's good, sexbeast says it's great (maybe fine-tuned with kybella) but chester had no effect though it's known not to be so effective on the chest. Things are looking up. I'm hoping that in just a few days I could have voluma and coolsculpting all done to justify my round-trip to Australia ...

Jogift, its supposedly reverseible, so have ppl had permanent problems after "removing" it? 

 cool sculpt freezes fat which is great, the problem is that it also can freeze healthy tissue as well. some people talk of a numb sensation for months afterwards but as it is with any medical procedure there can be complications. personally in my opinion there r certain body parts that respond better than others. as invasive a liposuction is i would go for the lipo with larger areas, sure there is more down time and can have more complications but it's one and done.

I think there are a number of things to it.

HA - in Australia - is just expensive to buy ($ 160 - 300/ml depending on the brand and level of discount the doctor get proportional to volume). We have never had macrolane. Sure I could buy it for $10/ml off the internet but that would be illegal, unethical and very short sighted as it is likely to be a disaster.

I have a relatively high cost practice and if dont markup by 100% would lose money.

But as our volume is going up and the manufacturers are taking notice of what we are doing the possibility for greater discounts are arising. We are looking at using "Ultimate" by Teosyal. Teosyal are probably about #3 HA brand after Alergan's Juverderm and Galdera's Restylane ranges. teosyal claim that Ultimate is the longest lasting HA on the market. So we are interested. Also maybe they have more to gain by being linked to Calibre than Allergan has. And Ultimate does come in a 3 ml syringe - better chance of per ml discount.

As I am essentially the only person/clinic offering this in Australia we dont have any competition. But, no doubt, someone will jump onto this soon and the only way to 'compete' with our experience will to be cheaper.

Eventually I will do training in other countries and train 10+ doctors in a course and then there will be doctors everywhere offering Calibre. It is coming.
