The latest version I had did feel acceptably soft. If one of them had not got infected I might still have them. When I saw Dr Gelman at UCI he insisted on removing both implants even thought the other one was not infected. He advised against implants in general. They likely raise the temperature of the scrotum and will restrict blood supply to the testicles. They are not a good idea. I wish there was another option and an alternative to Elist too. But I agree. Elist is out.
