Now its gotten soggy and squishy. My shaft once felt natural, but now it feels like a dumpling or a balloon covered stick. It is very frustrating especially since Ellanse may never go away. It is making me consider getting it removed and getting a dermal implant instead

I would try and avoid actual removal of the collagen built up from the Ellanse as it can be quite invasive and only best done if there is a health concern (i.e. complication) that warrants it. This is the first I've heard of Ellanse losing its robustness, but then again, it's technically supposed to be temporary, despite most reports showing it lasts quite a long time.
Your two options are to perhaps get some low-volume injections of Ellanse in to maybe possibly re-trigger more collagen production -OR- your own personal consideration of a dermal graft, which maybe doable with the presence of Ellanse (possibly) -- someone like @PhalloplasticSurgeon_DrLiu (Dr. Liu) would know.

wannabebig1 wrote: When you say my own personal consideration you mean like a tailored dermal on top of my Ellanse? What would happen when the Ellanse inevitably completely deteriorates as advertised?
However the Physician chooses to implant the graft (I believe would be under the Ellanse given that fillers are generally injected between dermal layers like the bucks and Dartos fascia), you'll still have that permanent Girth if & when all the Ellanse collagen deteriorates.
Ellanse was made to be temporary, so seeing any degradation process should have been anticipated, regardless of the unusually longer-than-expected lifespan of the product. You're 5-6 years out from your initial procedure and the longest lasting version was meant for 4 years. You may be one of the very first to show signs/indications that the filler indeed is temporary as advertised.
The question becomes whether you want to have something permanent (one & done) like a dermal graft, or maintain the size through re-stimulating the collagen production (assuming this approach works with Ellanse) -- better yet, I should have asked, besides the "squishy" nature of it, have you measured or noticed any notable loss in Girth?

I don't believe that DMSO "shrinks" PMMA because that would be the wrong way of phrasing it -- the girth you obtain via PMMA is collagen growth via physiological processes.
That said, there are anecdotal evidence throughout the forums that DMSO can be helpful in softening areas that may have issues with nodules & aesthetic irregularities. Since its merit for its use in treating injectable phalloplasty isn't sufficient enough for me to endorse its practice, I would defer to your performing physician and/or a Doctor well-versed in this area.

1 year 5 months ago #1308720523If - this substance „would“ also shrink PMMA - its a nice value for the forum to know which substance/ chemicals / creams should better not go on your Dick when they would have the potential to shrink PMMA.

It would not move or remove the PMMA microspheres themselves. I don't think it would do anything to the inflammatory cells (fibroblasts?) that are responsible for recruiting collagen, I think all it does is break down the scaffolding of the collagen and make it malleable.
The worry is whether or not the collagen would ever feel normal again, and/or if new collagen would be created by the PMMA once the old collagen is destabilized.
If I were to try it, I damn sure wouldn't try it on a large area. Maybe a pimple sized area. I read one guy on here who said he was able to press his filler flat where he previously had an injection site clump. That would be my only purpose for it, IF i were brave enough to try. I can't imagine risking it on a large area, that goes wrong you have a weird mangled Dick.

1 year 5 months ago #1308720548yes, its really „scary“ that we really have to take care that some substances / creams whatever do not come on our dick. Risk to shrink pmma. (??)
When you use the search function on here: There are many substances from which users claim they can manage their pmma overreactions. What means in general this substances could shrink pmma (??)
What I found on phalloboards:
- Dmso
- Creams that contain Hydrocortisone
- Paba
- Reninol
Maybe I m overthinking haha. But if you like your Pmma… better check that this substances do NOT touch your dick.

So in an area where PCL has broken down more than others, maybe you'd have less collagen?
We don't know if that's what's going on with you, but logically it's a possibility. It could of course also be psychosomatic.
If you do have genuine degradation, and it's uneven, I'd be willing to bet you could get docs to smooth you out with HA in the gaps - or, just wait until more of it is naturally broken down and get PMMA.
