Not only is there trauma to that area, mentally you have a lot of stuff happening that could prevent an Erection. Yes I experienced this. Even with Cialis, I never really got fully Erect until I was almost fully healed. My penis was simply "not in the mood," grumpy if you will... granted I never tried to stimulate myself to an Erection with porn, etc, and I simply needed the Cialis to keep my penis from being 100% limp...and in that case, it was sort of effective (as in like 30% Erection). Erection returned to normal when the penis was completely healed. This occurred after every round of PMMA, and it doesn't alarm me as my Erection returns 100% to normal when the healing phase is over. This probably doesn't happen often since many report being able to achieve Erection during the healing phase, but I'm sure a minority (such as yourself & I) do experience the temporary side effect.
