I had the full wrap done 3 weeks ago yesterday, and although I am still sore and a bit swollen, I can see the difference in my Girth already. I am no stranger to enhancement surgery, I had surgery with Dr. Elist 4 years ago. After about a year the implant had to be replaced, 6 months later it had to be removed entirely. I was left with a shorter and thinner shaft than I had before the original surgery. I contacted Dr Solomon to get my length back to normal, and increase my Girth. Dr. Solomon removed my scar tissue in December of 2012 (7 months ago) and I just had the Girth procedure 3 weeks ago. I did a fair amount of research on Dr. Solomon before I had surgery with him, the most common thing that I found was that people thought he had an attitude, or was rude to some of his patience. I can tell you first hand that he is not rude at all, but he is very stern about what he expects from his patience. There were a few times he told me " this is not a negotiation, your trying to negotiate and it does not work like that, biology is biology." He told me that when I was trying to ask about having sex and working out before the 30 day period of my initial surgery. I would not call his behavior rude at all, at times he is very talkative and friendly. I think that the issue people have is that he will not tell you what you want to hear, he will tell you the facts. That may be what comes off as rude to some people. When I had my Girth procedure, my wife also had a rhinoplasty with Dr. Solomon the same day. The main thing I like about Dr. Solomon is that he does not only perform penis surgery. He works in a real surgery center, (not out of his office like some of the other penis docs out there) and he is the only Board certified surgeon that I could find who performs penile enlargement surgery. My wife's nose turned out very nice, we are both satisfied with the results. I ask a lot of questions and Dr. Solomon was always happy to answer them, he will get back to you very quickly, the longest I had to wait for an email response was about 12 hours. I paid 10k for Dr Elist's procedure a few years ago, fortunately he did not charge me to remove it. So my total penis investment is now over 20k. I am very hopeful about this surgery, I am healing much faster than I did with the implant. My shaft is looking more normal every day, and the swelling is going down quickly. I can say that my Flaccid Girth and length have both increased, but I dont have a number to put on it yet. In fact many seem to gain from the scar capsule. Length loss is common, but it seems you certainly drew the short straw. Your story is quite a common one. In the end you'll probably end up about the same size as you were before any surgery, but having spent $20,000+ and gone through all the stress of the surgical process and recovery. According to Dr Solomon I can anticipate a 30% increase in Girth from the surgery. That should put me in my desired range. As far as length goes, I have given up on gaining, I am not sure if I can use the grip system now that I have the graft, but I will ask the doctor when I talk to him on monday. If he does not think it will be helpful, or if he advises me not use the weights, I will stick with his advise. The sad part is that if I end up right where I started, I would still be happy. Just 20k less wealthy. I will always wonder what would have happened if I just went to Dr Solomon first. To be honest, Dr Solomon is being hugely optimistic if he thinks you'll gain 30%. It's rare that a year post op that an allograft will yield a gain of more than 0.5". It will probably be 6.5" for a few months and then start to shrink. If you start with a 5.25" Girth and add a 4mm thick graft, you'd only have 6.2" if you wrapped it around the entire penis. But the graft is actually only wrapped over the top and sides, so in reality the max it will yield is about 6". It will measure greater than that for a while due to swelling. One question I have, 'Did Dr. Solomon use more than one sheet of SurgiMend?' I know several Phalloplasty surgeons will use multiple sheets (a breeding ground for infection) of Belladerm', Alloderm', SurgiMend', etc. If, I presume, the answer is one sheet than Hoddle10 nailed it.
