@friends of the forum
No harm and safety, these words should be eliminated from describing mexico in any positive manner, i was in Zona Rio this weekend, and Police activity was rampant, narco activity seems to be rising from what most locals tell me in the last few weeks, things are getting more dangerous. Shuttle services do not stop bullets, and narcos are un-bias in whose lives they claim. I didn't even stay the night, a friend invited me over to stay the night and i even passed the offer. I would STRONGLY recommend that any inexperienced traveler to stay in San Diego, California instead of Tijuana, i would hate to hear of a fellow friend of the forum getting injured or killed. Please stay state side, saving an extra 15 or 20 bucks a night on hotel stays use to be worth it in my book, but now, i'd like to think everyones life is worth more than saving $20 in you wallet. Please do not risk staying in Tj, the violence has claimed an intimate friend, and only until you are directly affected by it, does the reality of this mexican civil war become clearly understood as a possible threat to your own safety. There is no GREEN ZONE in mexico.

I went to Ley Market again, I saw the older, dark skin, lady with curly black hair behind the Pharmacy counter. I believe she recognized me, I wore a bright smile and greeted her "Hola senora", I asked dos (two) viagras 100 mg (cien miligramos) por favor, she smiled and said ok. She went to the locked up drawer and retrieved two sealed boxes. I then asked "cuanto cuesta", she then calculated the conversion cost on her calculator, the exchange rate this weekend was over 13 pesos to 1 USD, she then showed me the calculator and it read $19.64. I paid under 20 bucks for 2 legit 100 mg viagras, this is a steal gentlemen, these are year 2005 prices, go anywhere else they'll easily be close to 15-17 bucks.
I had a loaded weekend, I didn't come back the same me, coolhand has some thinking to do.
Anywho, Ley Market is right next to Pueblo Amigo Hotel, parking cost 0.50 cents.
Write this on a piece of paper before you visit Ley Market:
"Mi amigo dijo que debo venir aqu' una compra de usted porque usted es una se'ora agradable."
I'm pretty confident, this Big Market/Pharmacy is honest with their mark-up on medications.

Re: Update: Tijuana Hotels
14 years 11 months ago #1270675817This round I made my trip a little more enjoyable by staying both the night before and after.
The night before was in Tijuana at the Marriott for $82 dollars it was a great deal and a very comfortable hotel. I went to La Fonda for dinner and had a fillet dinner with some beers all for $20 dollars. For breakfast the Marriott has an excellent breakfast buffet with smoothies, omelets and everything for $13 dollars. The photo below is a photo from my hotel room, the big tall building a couple blocks away is Dr. C's the taxi there will run you about 3-4 dollars.
After the procedure I took the shuttle back into San Diego and stayed at the Bay Club Hotel and Marina, I kinda splurged a little and spent around $140 dollars, but it was well worth it to sit around and recover on the beautiful shelter island. A decent breakfast and complimentary hotel shuttle included (about 5 minutes away). Photo # 2 is my room with big wrap around windows.
I spent a lot of time researching hotels etc and was weary of staying in Tijuana so I hope this is useful to someone!

I always check my online banking statement after I come home from Mexico, and lord and behold I was over-charged for my Hotel room, the room booked at $67.80, but on my statement it read $150 USD even. I'm going to call the Hotel tomorrow so hopefully this gets straightening out. But I hate this extra hassel & drama, I've never had this problem at Pueblo Amigo. I never have a problem whenever I stay at Hotel Ticuan, against my better judgement I stood at Pueblo Amigo. I think COOLHAND's official hotel stay is going to be Hotel Ticuan from now on, you can't go wrong with a 4-star hotel charging $53-54 a night for a King size room. I thought i would share that with you, because I don't want any friends of the forum to have to deal with the hassel of being over charged. Cheers amigos!
~CHLPS- I was debating where to put this tidbit info, but take this as a serious forthcoming recommendation (as one of Dr.Casavantes' patients), PLEASE do not chance driving back home or waiting in the long border line to come back home. All the Hotel's I've recommended I would have no problem sending my picky mother too, they are safe and well respected. Precious hours count, and you need to massage your penis religiously post-bioplasty (PMMA injection). Enough member's who didn't take such advise will say they wish they would have done otherwise. EP and Wade gave me this important advise. I would almost go as far as saying its a rule, massage your penis post treatment as Wade coaches you to do so, Wade said walking isn't a bad thing either as long as it's Hanging there's minimal concern for retraction. This is why I personally choose to stay in a safe 4-star Hotel in Tj. You could be waiting as long as 2 hrs to get back into San Diego on a Friday afternoon!

i recently visted Pueblo Amigo Hotel, exceptional service, and decent dinning as always. I had the infamous "Dean Winchester style"~> Bacon Cheese burger with Grilled Onions! God i love meat! With my AAA autoclub card the room cost $67.80, no expesses for parking and taxes were included in the price. BUT!!! Listen here: Wade and i recently spoke about the *recent* rip off price hike concerning several pharmacies here in Tijuana, especially at the East Tower building. Most folks have been spending $15-18 USD for a LEGIT 100 mg unopened Viagra Tablet, or $17-18 bucks for a 20 mg tablet of Cialis. Well, right next door to Pueblo Amigo is a market chain called Ley Market, at their pharmacy a 100 mg tablet of Viagra is under $12, and a 20 mg tablet of Cialis is under $14. This is a steal if you are considering buying several to take home, just make sure you bring an empty medicine bottle if you are flying back anywhere so you don't have to worry about any possible problems. Hope this Viagra/Cialis update was forth coming.
