He mentioned that fat settles in to help limit reattachment. I am 3 weeks 4 days post op, so I go a few more weeks b4 I can start Hanging. I would say I have about 1 inches in retraction at this point, but I feel pretty good that will come back quickly, my hope if for an extra Inch in EL. I had a horizontal cut across the pubic area; you should also find out what kind of technique they are offering. There is a VY plasty and a horizontal cut and the scars are very different. You will need to stretch a lot after (both in hours every day for months to a year). But my Flaccid is pretty close to my EL now (FL is about 6, EL is 7.2). Alter is very good and I have heard Rosenthal's name a lot and I think he is considered good too - search this board if you want more info on them. I didn't go to either but if you are close to them they are both good choices. My gut is that it doesn't make a big difference from the little I have read on here about it but could be wrong. I'm too gun shy to go through with Bella, plus I'm ok with my Girth, however Dr. R said Flaccid gain would be increased if did it. Makes sense, he stated the extra weight and grafts themselves will help prevent retraction and keep the penis Hanging lower. As you are aware, I think most users on here who have had this surgery, site initial length loss. I'm sure you'll get it all back after stretching and hopefully the extra you are after. Any additional Flaccid gains I make from this fade after a month off. I have always wanted a longer Flaccid hang and have never been pleased with my Flaccid penis size and would like to achieve an extra .75-1". I have researched and tossed around the idea of lengthening surgery for 2 years and my wife is supporting me in finally moving forward with lengthening surgery. I have messaged several members about their own experiences who have had the procedure done and it has been mainly positive for what I would like to accomplish (Flaccid gain). Anyways I have been in contact with both Dr. Alter and Rosenthal (close proximity to me) about lengthening ONLY and there are 2 major differences I can't decide on. A. Alter places a layer of fat between the bone and ligaments after the cut to prevent reattachment and then it eventually absorbs. Rosenthal does not use a spacer he said. B. Alter quoted me 3k higher than Rosenthal $7500 compared to $4500!! Anyways, just wondering if this difference in the procedure makes a big difference? Any personal information users might have about "their experience with ligament release" or about either surgeon would be greatly appreciated.
