I am finally able to book hotels & flights... just not sure how long to make this trip. They are doing the Girth procedure from Tues - Fri now, so I guess it is possible to do it on a Thurs & come back Friday for follow up - and possibly on Tues if there's a serious problem, but Wade said you can really just leave the next day after they look at it & that's what most guys do. In my experience with surgery, I usually get more swollen for a few days until day 3 or 4 when the swelling subsides. On here, it seems like guys get swollen in a similar way.. 5 nights is just a lot of time away though (i would want to get in monday) & days off work + expenses in the TJ hotel & probably a SD hotel for the last 3 might start adding up. The financial difference is 600-800. I am staying 2 nights in TJ for 200 total...then SD would be the last 4 which seem to be $150-200 a night right now...though that might be unnecessary to do. Stayed in SD, took the shuttle to TJ for the procedure, shuttled back to SD, stayed the nite and then went home. All was well the next day so I didn't need to go back to see Wade and Dr. C. I live in CA tho, so if there was a problem I could have extended my stay or gone back. Hope that helps and best to you.
