I will give them a call again as to get the reason for not injecting radiese in the first place. @yao: with my stats I want to do it as soon as possible but I want to be 100% sure to pull the trigger. As far as I'm concerned, I will likely go through with the procedure at some point but I will wait some time. Maybe 6 months. The thoughts of using PMMA are really out of the question for me at this point. I would like to add a thought for those that are on the fence. If one is willing to use a temp filler for the time being, I imagine more fillers will enter the market. Possibly, a product that is longer lasting or one that can be more easily removed. It's nice knowing that if an issue does arise, it will not be permanent. Furthermore, Radiesse is made from materials the body recognizes, which I believe is quite advantageous. @interested1: Great job man. Did he mention anything about expected gains and if one would need any touch ups to correct possible flaws from the first procedure. I think I might go for it. Thanks The mechanisms are totally different. Radiesse is very similar to PMMA, only the microspheres dissolve over time. Basically a foreign body reaction occurs and the collagen from this creates the volume. Macrolane is a HA, so the volume comes from the product itself. So if you inject 10ml of Radiesse, only 3ml of this is Radiesse, the rest is a carrier which get quickly absorbed and replaced by collagen. If you inject 10ml and Macrolane, then that's it, nothing happens it just stays there until it absorbs 1-2 years later.
