I was one of the first guys that i know of to have his implant, way back at the beginning of 2009.
At that time there were no known (implant) horror stories and plenty of Elist shills swimming around the Mynewsize website (along with Dr. Elist himself, my main source of information). In short, I was fed the usual Dr. Elist bullshit, and I lapped it up like a parched dog on a sweltering august day.
A) Less than 1% complication rate
B) Undetectable/Looks and feels completely real
C) Easily removed
D) sensation is not affected
E) blah, blah, blah, blah, blah
It was like leading a lamb to the slaughter....
And...Dr. Elist was late 4 hours for the implant surgery. I had to wait on a gurney for over four hours. I actually ended up having my surgery in the early evening and left the surgicentre around 10 or 11pm. I was originally scheduled to be back in my hotel room by 6pm. This is par for the course with this doctor; he is always late for everything. Too bad this isn't nearly the worst of his offenses.

Oh another beauty...He never gave me any pain meds. When I was leaving the surgicentre, the chief nurse's face looked shocked and then angry (at Dr. Elist) when I informed her of this. Nonetheless, I left the place with nothing to offset the indescribable pain that was waiting for me that night.
And yes, the pain was indescribable. Every time I had a nocturnal erection, I would wake up with a blood curdling scream. No doubt the people in the hotel room beside must have thought something incredibly horrifying or kinky was going on in my room.

Over the next four months my penis healed and I was able to resume my sex life. Unfortunately, my penis had retracted over an inch due to the implant (something the doctor neglected to mention would happen). Another, more disturbing, thing was that I lost about 80% of the sensation on the shaft of my penis. When I first asked the doctor about this, he assured me that it would come back in a "few weeks". When it didn't, he assured me it would come back in "a few months". And when that didn't happen, he blamed it on the fact that I had previous surgeries.
To this day, the sensation to my shaft has never returned.

Fast forward 4 months and my penis suddenly balloons up with puss and is infected. I am (via telephone) informed that I have to have it removed . This meant I had to suddenly fly from Tokyo to LA and take off four days of work (something that is difficult when you are trying to run an office). But hey, my one and only penis was worth it.

Well.. I arrive at his office after a flight from hell, , and the first thing the doctor tells me is that he has "never seen this before". What he was saying is that he never had seen an implant rejected due to infection before...Which was news to me because I had been in contact (through email) that very same week with an implant recipient who had experienced the same I was experiencing , and had to also have it removed. When Dr. Elist told me this, my heart sank because I knew once and for all he was a liar. I had ignored so many warning flags and now I was paying the price. He then went on to explain to me that it (the implant) could have been saved had I come to his clinic when the infection first appeared, and asked me if i had somehow injured my penis to cause this to happen. You see, that's Dr. Elist's "go to move"; He blames the patient for any problem (catastrophic or otherwise) with the implant.
What followed was something that would have been comical if it weren't so horrifying... He proceeded to take the implant out in his (unsanitary) examination room with his secretary as his assistant. He gave me some tea (with some type of narcotic in it) to relieve the pain... As I was leaving his examination room, he have gave me a penis pump and told me I would be able to resume sex in about a week. I was then promptly billed $750.00 for that pump ( later finding out it was only worth $150.00). Nice.

What the good doctor failed to tell me was that my penis length would experience severe retraction due to the trauma and scar tissue. I did end up reclaiming the retracted length (and even more) but my case is quite rare and most implant recipients who have theirs removed (which is a very high percentage), will end up with a shorter, often deformed penis.

I truly believe that Dr. Elist is a criminal...if anybody is thinking of getting the implant, I implore you to reconsider. There are so many implant stories that are worse than mine out there. In fact, I don't know of one truly successful implant story and I've been active on these boards for well over four years....
The prime motivation behind my spending so much of my (treasured) free time on this board is so that I can help prevent other men from experiencing the same nightmare I (and now countless others) have. In fact, as I have always said...If I can prevent even only one man from getting the implant, it will all be worth it.

Noname1 wrote: I have done very little research but has anyone been successful sueing this doctor. I understand the odds of winning selective surgery cases but it's seem very misleading 95% success rate. Also what percentage would say that don't have it removed and have no perm damage

If you don't remove it, you will have permanent scaring and you are guaranteed early Erectile disfunction. The implant keeps on rubbing against the shaft and will continue to create scar tissue that will very soon mess up full erections.

Most if not all victims who had it, never can achieve full Erection while its in their penis and will never see full Erection after Removal.

How I know? it happened to me and others who reported here!
If you DO move it, you will still get scaring, different degrees of Peyronies' disease, scar tissue, shortening of Erect length. most people who had it removed never got their full Erect length back. I have experiencing signs of ED since after the Removal.
His 95% success rate is 100% Accurate!!!! to HIM, it means he Installed it 95% of the time!!! That's it. He does not mean it did what he claimed it would, and he DOES know that 99% of these defunct implants will be removed sooner than later.

I challenge him and his staff to publicly show us accurate records of people who have it and people who had it removed to be 95% success rate as defined by level minded people. I am 100% certain he will not do so!!

I talked to 2 different attorneys; they did not want to take my case because of the laws protecting drs in California and it was two years after the surgery (I had the implant for a year then I removed it thinking it will not cause any damage as he promised it would but it took me a year to realize the damage it caused was irreversible). Also, because I signed a waiver release form which would hurt my case big time. They told me I had a weak case even though I told them they can take 80% if they succeeded!!

It will require a class action to get something going!

The Evil dr continues the carnage and I hope there is carma in this world!

I have made a topic describing every stage in the experience and some of it is good but in the end you will have it removed.
Its your call, we have several documented cases in the boards where u can read how it went for all. Please spend 2 hours reading you will benefit from it.
Google: Dr Elist reviews There are nothing but positive reviews...

It's cases like these that have made me a more critical web user. If it's the same site we're both thinking of, take a closer look at the reviews, especially the ones that are clearly implant-themed. You be the judge if they are legit or not.

I went to the web site, read the reviews, looked at the YouTube videos and saw what I wanted to see. I have a Flaccid micropenis 2.5" that turtles in, but EL about 5.5". I thought this would do the trick for me. Now I'm contemplating having it removed now. I can't afford to lose any more EL. Would anyone give this a chance and not have it immediately removed?

you paid $13k for implant, have no pain or discomfort, read some threads and now want it out? doesn't make any sense to me..........yet

I think you ought to at least try and see what happens - you've already bit the bullet - why not follow instructions, take it easy and see how it turns out?

No.
Anyone who gets the implant is getting it without being fully informed. Nobody in their right mind would get it knowing the truth. In short, implant recipients are being duped and as a result paying a horrible price.

I believe this is the GQ authors email address : This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

And her agents : This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.@cheneyliterary.com

Would it be wrong to send them a quick email expressing a view on the quality of her research and journalistic integrity?

Just asking.

There is no "perfecting" an inherently flawed technique/implant. That's the absurdity in this all... with every "new improvement" being gimmickry as opposed to some sort of actual advancement in methodology.

Had the surgery in 2014, like many probably did not do the right amount of research. My story, the implant gained Girth. My penis pulls to the left and I have the urination drips after I urinate which have became part of life. 11 months after surgery the implant completely tore apart from the band at the head. So now I have a ring at the top and silicone that moves around. It's been approximately 2 years since the separation. The good news for me is that my sex life is okay. I don't suffer from loss of feeling that's detrimental to orgasm and erections are the same as before.

I called right away when the thing broke, I freaked the F out! I was told to fly back out and they would replace it for 6k. You know the guy that sings about his implant success on elist site? We were a group selected to pay half if we would let them document and use us as testimonials. They never used mine for some reason Anyhow I was like F that I'm not going through that again while you figure out the product on your patients! My search that brought me to this site today was to see if the implant technologies have improved. Looks like I'm stuck with what I have as the Removal seems like a bad move as well...

I wish i had read all this information posted here prior to do the PE surgery with Dr Elist.
Now its too late for that. I have had the implant for 4 week now and I am still experiencing lots of pain and swelling. Its worst during night time with the erections. There is also edges of the implant which is very sharp close to the glans and is really painful if it comes in contact with anything.
Further more i have lost at least 1-2 Inch in EL. Now that i have read all this scary stories I have decided to remove the implant.
Is there anyone who can guide me through the procedure, how long is the post surgical recovery and how can i get back my length back.

Check out the section on this site : Patient Support Group & Progress Reports , you will find what you are looking for. Good luck.

I understand you. Keeping it or removing it are not the best options but I wish you the best.

You should demand elist to replace it or remove it for FREE. He does that to almost all his failed implants. If it is broken inside, it will create so much more scar tissue and may cause further complications down the line, just my opinion of course.

If he does not help you, contact GQ and inform them of your situation and also you can document it here too. I am almost certain elist will remove and or replace for free.

But of course you have to make that decision.

It will be good for you and for our readers if you can start your own thread. You can get great support here when readers can see the facts....

Good luck!

Last year, I and another Elist victim (Richard I believe) tried to post our experiences on one of these so-called legitimate medical sites, only to have them mysteriously disappear. I tried repeatedly and they would only stay up for a day or so before vanishing
The idea that men can be led down such a golden path into the mouth of a monster is terrifying....
Even if one were to make a perfunctory effort in his search for the Elist implant, he would find find the countless horror stories attached to it on our site and a few others. And if that were the case, I can't believe that anyone would consider the implant as a possible solution from that time foreward.
I know that if I had come across even one horror story (back in 2009), I would never have considered it.
Actually, that's not true...One horror story came up just before my implant appointment. The case is infamously referred to as the "Implant disaster". Without going into too many specifics, this patient (located in Dubai) ended up almost losing his penis. He was courageous enough to video the horrible results and post them online.
Dr. Elist, of course, explained this way away by reaching into his bag of tricks and pulling out his greatest hit of all (blaming it on the patient). Which seemed even less believable because this particular patient in question happend to be a licensed physician.
I of course believed this excuse because i wanted to....Never underestimate the power of denial.

I saw that too, very recently there has been a firestorm of articles promising a ''NEW'' technique....even though this has kinda been debunked for a long time.
Ok, so I've got an opinion to ask, and I know this won't win me any friends, but if this procedure has any hope of working at all, and it's only a matter of perfecting a technique that won't butcher someone, does anyone else think that as long as people fully understand the risks involved (and there was more than one surgeon trying this) that it should still be tried?
Breast implants did not start out good, not at all... they hurt many woman, caused a lot of problems, and I think may have killed someone, I haven't done any research on that, so....I could be wrong. So the woman who put their bodies on the line were pioneers into a field that is now fairly commonplace. I don't know of a good solution, animal activists would want to freaking burn someone for trying this on animals, but seriously, this is a risky field, and there has to be someway to gain some real advancement or we'll be stuck with what we currently have. I'm not a Dr, I dont have any answers, just wondering what others might think.
