The fact is though, the cancer rate among people who have been exposed to asbestos is approximately .002 percent. However, in the lungs, developing swelling and inflammatory changes is a big deal, as lung capacity is diminished, which is a bad thing for obvious reasons. Swelling in the penis, as long as it does subside, is a relatively neutral affliction, as it does not impede normal function. This is an organ that routinely swells and it is in fact built to do that. I felt the need to elaborate on the mention of asbestos as it is a loaded word, and as a known carcinogen that causes mesothelioma, it triggers alarm bells. As long as the dartos tissue is still there, then the penis should move up and down smoothly. I think the swelling is far more likely to come from the PMMA tissue acting a bit like a clamp. When I have clamped or used a Cock, ring, even lightly, I'm often left with swelling. Sometimes even after just wearing a condom it happens to me. So if the PMMA tissue isn't as naturally expandable as the real penis, then it makes sense that it could cause swelling in a similar way. Sure there is the potential for chronic inflammation & fibrous tissue, but it probably stops right there. PMMA isn't a known human carcinogen like Asbestos is, and furthermore, the biggest problem (outside of cancer) with asbestos is that you breathe it, which ultimately affects your lungs and your ability to breathe normally (over time). It moves, a little bit, inside the penis. We've all had the experience of getting a blister on our heel from repeated rubbing by new shoe leather. In the case of PMMA, the rubbing is on the inside of the penis. The skin moves over the PMMA during sex. The PMMA moves over the blood vessels.The body does not like it and it creates a buffer. The buffer is swelling. If you have sex several times close together then the swelling will be more. If you don't have sex for a week or two, then the swelling goes down. Anti-inflammatories, like Kenalog, will reduce the swelling. The structures of the peniss are not bigger because of PMMA. The blood vessels, ligaments etc are all the same size. The only thing that gets bigger is the skin to cover the PMMA. There is not more blood flow to the penis after PMMA. The blood does not drain out slower because of PMMA. It feels meatier due to swelling. Over the long term (years) the body will build up scar tissue or fibrous tissue so that it does not have to swell up every time.
