Nothing serious. Flushed skin & chills for the most part. It’s gone by the next morning. Just curious if any of you guys experience the same. I’m considering a basic antihistamine like Benadryl next time. I’m not sure how the lidocaine allergy works but I’d expect it to present at the injection site a least. You have to keep in mind that the lidocaine can effect entire nerve bundles connected to the injection site, so the allergies themselves don't necessarily have to *"show up at the injection site."* This is why it only takes a few shots in your shaft for the entire penis to go numb, or a couple of jabs to the gums for your entire mouth to go numb... making the injection sites themselves no more important than the surrounding nerve bundles & tissue. Furthermore, given that this is a recurring experience, it lends additional credence to some sort of allergy or intolerance to the local anesthetic. Obviously we can't know for sure, but I would certainly make this known to your Injector if you get more work done, including his or her opinion on the necessity of antihistamines (or other medications). Fortunately it doesn't sound like a major issue, but you'll want to be sure to iterate this clearly to your Practitioner if & when you see them again, since allergies to lidocaine do exist, and can potentially worsen with frequency & time.
