I was wondering if there was any relation between the two. I know PMMA has plastic in it which can lower testosterone especially when its located so close to androgenic tissue and the testicles. However it seems that this plastic is trapped in collagenous tissue which in itself should make it stable. Looking to hear from people who either did or did not get ED after getting PMMA. There is no reason to believe there is any relation between the two. A few things to consider: Short of staying physically fit & eating well, men will and do experience a decline in Erection quality as they age. In other words, varying degrees of ED are prevalent regardless of penile enhancement. More importantly, PMMA is not injected into the corpus nor does it find itself circulating in your bloodstream. The correlation of plastics and and their related health issues is based on the lifelong consumption/use of plastics; I don't see how encapsulated bio-compatible microspheres of acrylic that don't increase as you age would have any discernable impact on your hormones or health. Of course, I can't rule it out for certain, but I'm willing to wager plastics from nearly everything else in your life play a bigger role in impacting your health, assuming any of those adverse effects increases the chances of developing ED. If you have access to my book, it explains this in detail. Erection is triggered by nerve stimulation and the release of nitric oxide in the arteries that bring blood to the depth of the cavernosum bodies. The cavernosum bodies are spongy-like tissue that, when relaxed by the mentioned stimuli, get filled with blood bringing stiffness to the penis. This all happens in the center of the penis, to make it simple to explain. Now, let's move to the anatomical structures: The cavernosum bodies are covered by two membranes (deep and superficial fascias) and other tissues that isolate them. PMMA (and all fillers) are placed on top of the deep fascia that physically separates the deep area where the erection occurs from the superficial area where the fillers are injected. In short, there is no logical, physical, or anatomical reason why the implant of any filler should interfere with erection. Also, remember that the highest percentage of cases of erectile dysfunction is psychological.
