What is your stance on Bellafill vs Linea Safe for PMMA? I had my first procedure in the summer of 2011, and all my subsequent rounds up through around 2015ish. Dr. Casavantes was the only known & reputable injector of PMMA at the time. In other words, I didn't know of Dr. Rupeka then. The options were much more limited a decade ago, and that's part of why I take pride in having expanded options for my readership since. That said, Avanti Derma remains an excellent PMMA provider even with Dr. C's retirement - most progress reports & reviews show that. As for Bellafill vs Linnea Safe: I theorized that PMMA with a bovine carrier (Bellafill) would not out perform PMMA with a cellulose carrier (Linnea Safe) in terms of aesthetic results. Without getting too technical, I imagined that because the window of time required to break down carriers takes longer with bovine, it would also mean a wider window of time for aesthetic irregularity. However, with Truckerguy's Progress Report (albeit, a small sample size), it appears this is not nearly as much of an issue as I first thought. It also helps that Dr. Rupeka is the most experienced Bellafill injector I'm aware of, and I can't begin to stress the importance of both the injector and the product being injected. In addition to this, it should be noted that all the Physicians found in the [ Physician Directory](https://phalloboards.info/directory.html) have been vetted for a variety of criteria, especially as far as their credentials and capacity to practice Medicine are concerned (which is also why certain practitioners/clinics have also been turned down in the past). Since male phalloplasty (a.k.a. penis enlargement procedures) isn't a standardized field (or specialization taught in a Medical Residency), I find the following three disciplines in Medicine as being most suitable for male phalloplasty given the requisite skills and/or knowledge that would make them most qualified (in no particular order): - Plastic Surgery - Urology (or Andrology) - Dermatology (*Note- I use the term *"male"* in male phalloplasty because the term phalloplasty itself has become almost obsolete with respect to its original definition of augmenting the penis, and is now more often associated with transgender reassignment surgeries). Med Spas would in theory make #4 on this list but are under a bit more scrutiny when approaching me; they have to demonstrate a real effort to be innovators in this field, and not merely "offer girth injections *because they can,* since they have access to fillers off-label like most other doctors." Med Spas are usually opened & operated by Practitioners from other fields (I've seen Primary Care Doctors, Pathologists, Anesthesiologists, and even General Surgeons, among others) who believe they have a knack for Cosmetic work and prefer to as much a Clinician as they would like to be in Business (and not at the mercy of their Hospital overlords). In other words, many Med Spa Owners are often times ambitious, confident medical practitioners who seek a change of pace and/or work. Dr. Nanda (Jiva Med Spa) and Dr. Rupeka (Youthology Med Spa) are great examples of Med Spa practitioners who put out good work. I cannot currently vouch for Dr. Song at present time. Good luck.
