From what Dr Oates has written, that the reasons for retraction aren't solved by Ligamentolysis, it would seem sensible (to me) to conclude that the causes of retraction are not removed by ligementolysis (ie cold, fear, exercise) but that the effect is reduced because there is less capability to drawn back - the suspensory ligament has been severed. Similarly, and as reported from the Dr's patients, it seems as if HA fillers do provide some resistance to retraction so that's really positive. I'm not likely to sport an 'innie' myself, unless I take an ice bath, so although I will retract in most circumstances its not as bad as that; maybe that's good enough. Personally, I think my approach will be: 1. HA filler and see how it goes. 2. Fat pad lipo if my diet doesn't pay off and I feel it's going to tip the balance. 3. Ligamentolysis May combine 2 & 3 for cost & ease and if it really seems like I have to go with Ligamentolysis, in which case why not do lipo at the same time. I don't know your current weight, but I had my first HA done as a "present" for losing 5kg and my next HA, I will do only after I lost 10kg. I agree with the comment about weight loss - yes, in practice I should focus on that first and then investigate corrective actions like fillers & surgery. In practice, it's happening in parallel to my investigations and decisions, safe weight loss takes time and I'd like to treat myself to HA filler (say) as a reward for losing x Kg of weight.
